The head-canons that could be written for this on new canon info is too great—

First order of business: Hakkai is #1 Mitsuya Fangirl with idol lights, headbands, tee shirts and everything

Angry as drummer makes so much sense. He doesn’t know what he’s doing half of the time, he just has that good of beat awareness and rhythm control.

Kazutora BEEN knowing how to play Guitar. He and Baji tried learning together, but Baji kind of got bored of it.

I could write guitarist Baji headcanons for days, but my first line of thought is that playing couldn’t keep his interest.

Kazutora has naturally long fingers that make reaching all the notes really easy. He’s very good, and learns all his favorite songs as practice before the band was even put together.

Akkun thought learning base would make him look cool, initially. He liked the deep cords and also caught on pretty fast.

Akkun’s always has spare guitar picks on him, which is great when Kazutora always forgets his.

Mitsuya…….. now Mitsuya-

He just naturally has beautiful vocals. He’s written a lot of solo songs where he can express his vocal range.

Luna and Mana Love listening to their brother, and often he will sing them lullabies of his own creation to sleep ���

The Band is definitely more Punk Tone.

They all try to write songs together, but they can never agree on anything when working collaboratively like that.

They all actually get along really well, and don’t fight often. It’s just that while they play great together, they’re not often on the same page with collaborative ideas.

Just how Angry just flows well with whatever beat Akkun and Kazutora give him, Mitsuya will just listen to them play and come up with genius lyrics to match

Kazutora does better when he’s given a script, or cord inspiration.

“Play something close to Asterisk*, and we’ll go from there.” “Okaaay!”

No movements, just sitting there. Now, this was your ‘punishment’ from draken himself, but why just sitting there? It’s boring.

And every time you would get up, move around, anything to get some sort of friction, he would place an impossibly strong grip on your arm with a frown.

“Oh come on, doll, you look so pretty for me~” he cooes as he brushed through your hair with his fingers, a frown coating your face as you shrugged.

“You’re just saying that because I’m too good and you like the feeling of me around you.” you reply, pouting as you look behind him, your arms wrapped around his neck like a snake.

He slaps your ass in responce, not having the brattiness at all as he huffed and went back to work on his computer. You let out a dramatic sigh, leaning back purposely to obstruct his view.

“y/n, move.” he says, his hair falling over his face when he leans back as you shake your head no.

“fuckin’ move back.” he snarls, returning back to typing as he shoves you into his chest. Though you couldn’t see it, he was grinning behind your back as he rested his head on your shoulder.

“you’re the brat here.” you say after a while, bucking your hips as soon as he lifts up, making him shudder his movements. He grits his teeth as he stares up at you, your devilish eyes meeting his desperate ones.

”Ohhh, I’m going to fuck you senseless now.” he says as he shuts his computer abruptly, shooting up, still attached at the hip, as he whips behind his chair and throws you onto the bed.

Though he was quite a formal person, the fact that his desk/work space was in his bedroom made the scenes behind the screen easier to play out.

Hence, why y’all have been in this hot session for the past 2 hours. Ruthlessly.

oh my god i just finished the dark forest finally. 7/10 i suppose, i went through the first half or so of the book being really annoyed by luo ji but also enjoying the chapters where he shows up because unfortunately he was entertaining. still don't understand the imaginary girlfriend thing, it just feels like he needs someone to protect from the world which like ??? ok sure i guess, it just rubs me the wrong way personally. for the second half and especially the end i became luo ji's number one defender it's fine. for the rest, holy crap—the droplet, the microcosm of the universe on those runaway ships, the wallfacer project, luo ji drawing from rey diaz's plan, the attitude of the world towards him, the entire theory... wow

the more I think about golden cheese the more I think about how she's really in... a weird position right now

to preface this; I'm white. I can't fully tackle a subject like this when it comes to her character, though most of what I'm saying comes from stuff I've learned from my own friends who are SWANA.

we barely know anything about golden cheese right now. even the art book is incredibly vague on her, and in canon we only know she's probably a recluse at the moment with no real information on her kingdom. with all that being said however what we do know about her isn't. Greeeaaattt?

the obvious thing is that she's very obviously egyptian, but no, she could also be mesoamerican, but then that one opening crk cutscene shows a building in her kingdom that looks like the taj mahal for some fucking reason. so you can probably gleam from that that people are rightfully concerned that if she does come out it'll be cookie run orientalism nightmare.....3!!!!!

and like, this is something SWANA people have pointed out. her direct influences are unclear and that can very easily go into bad orientalist territory with how they do it.

...but they still have yet to do it. she keeps getting delayed. the optimistic part of me wants to believe she's being delayed because they learned from last time and are trying to find a way to depict her in a more accurate, more respectful way, but this is also devsisters we're talking about so the delay could easily be from their own incompetence.

so like. I Don't Know. she occupies a weird awkward limbo state in the grand scheme of cookie run right now that I don't really have any say in and as much as I've joked about her delays in the past I honestly kind of dread her update coming out when I do give it some thought

Gleam: I would say that Gleam is not really hiding anything :D They're very much an open book and they're not very good at lying or pretending (unless it's some circus play-pretend, then they're amazing).

Rev: oh Rev hides that he is very, very lonely. He has a lot of acquantances, right, he's up and about in different social circles, but he doesn't have any particularly close friends, at least not up until he meets James and Nimbus! But even so, loneliness is still kinda there and he doesn't want the world to know, because to everyone Rev is this easy going friendly guy.

I WANT SENJU AND MIKEY TO HAVE A BIG HIGURASHI SOTSU FINALE STYLED FISTFIGHT... set post final time-leap except it turns out the final timeline wasn't as "stable" as it first appeared and they're both fighting for different outcomes?? (spoilers for the end of the manga below obviously!!)

like maybe mikey's trying to preserve the new timeline and senju's trying to destroy it. WHY she would do that when it's presumably a happy ending for everyone is something i don't know yet. but i will think of something!!

one concept is like. she thinks that the previous timelines still exist in some form. and that the old versions of toman/themselves are still suffering somehow?? they didn't actually have any resolution, only these "new" versions of them did?? whereas mikey thinks that this is the best ending they'll get, or that there's no difference between the post-final time leap characters and their previous incarnations.

...the problem is, of course, only one of them can be right, and i want it to be a kind of scenario where they BOTH have a point. and no-one's really fully right or wrong. so i'm not sure that's enough on it's own... if anyone has any ideas or questions about wtf i'm talking about please let me know because i'd love to work on this!!

I just wanted to add on that people figured out only half of their patreon members were paying members meaning they were making at the very least 30k - 50k if a lot of them were on the low and middle tiers. They definitely werent making 100k a month

not done talking about the watcher thing because so many people vilified them for making a bad business decision (which it was) and then proceeded to name solutions that would literally be worse.

“just move out of la” moving 25ish people is expensive and it is completely unreasonable to ask your employees to do that when some have families that would have to move, not to mention the cost of moving all their equipment would make their financial situation worse in the short-term and possibly put them under.

“lay off people” i get saying that they expanded too fast, they did. but laying off hardworking people in a recession would be worse than what they actually did. sure they should’ve/could’ve halted expansion but saying people should be fired is crazy.

“cut down on production costs and focus on what works” they explicitly said that don’t want to do that. they want creative control over their work so they can make the art they want.

everyone pointing out their revenue streams seems to forget the expenses of a business. the 100k from their patreon monthly is not going to the pockets of shane ryan and steven. it’s going to the employees, rent, health insurance, taxes. 100k is 4k for each employee per month. it’s not as if they’re making millions.

watcher made a dumb decision and people are acting like they murdered people. we’ve seen less backlash from literal predators.

the people saying “they only apologized because people were mad/hurt.” like…yeah. obviously. if everyone was ok with the decision they wouldn’t have needed to apologize!! that’s the point!! why are people mad at them doing the smart PR move to keep their business and fan base?

last point: people saying they took too long. they took less than a single business day. sure, it would’ve been nice for them to say a statement was on the way, but do you really think that would’ve made people satisfied. i for one, would much rather they spend time working on their response than say something as soon as people got mad.
